Hello my name is Shasta Lavigne, I am the proud owner and operator of Bamboo Lotus Massage and Bodywork. I've been doing massage since 1999. I'm California State Certified and Nationally Certified. I carry Liability insurance through AMTA. I did most of my schooling through Mueller College of Holistic Studies right here in San Diego, Ca where I received my HHP in Integrated Bodywork.
I have also traveled to Beijing, China where I studied Tui Na techniques in the Beijing Massage Hospital. As well as Maui, Hawaii where I studied Lomi Lomi massage at the Maui Massage School in Makawao, which is an Ancient Hawaiian technique. So my technique is an integration of all that I have learned upon the way and customized to fit your needs. I would not say that my massage is a light touch so if you are looking for a light Swedish massage I might not be a good fit for you. My massage is relaxing but more firm to deep.
I opened this business in June of 2011. But I used to do Corporate Chair massage and out-call massage. I love what I do and I hope you will see it in my work. With a little advance notice, call and get your next massage.
You may not think you need regular massage but you should know that it's great for circulation, pain management, and overall homeostasis in the body. Therapeutic Deep Tissue techniques, pressure point manipulation and assisted stretching as needed, aid the body in releasing accumulated toxins residing deep in muscle fibers that are responsible for fatigue and tension.
